Matcha Condensed Milk French Toast

It has been below-freezing this week in New York; the remedy is comfort food. This 5-ingredient Matcha French Toast is the perfect answer. Quick, sweet, and packed with flavor, it’s a decadent treat that works just as well for breakfast as it does for dessert. Let’s dive in!

Ingredients

  • I tbsp Hot Water

  • I tsp Matcha

  • 3 tbsp Condensed milk + I tbsp drizzle

  • I tbsp Puff Quinoa

  • 1 Egg

  • 2-3 toast, Cut in half

  • 2 tbsp of Chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

  • 2 tbsp of Butter, cut in 3 section

Prepare Batter

1. Whisk the matcha with hot water



2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg

3. Whisk the condensed milk with the egg batter

4. Add the matcha mixture into the egg batter, mix well

Make the French Toast

5. Butter a skillet on medium heat. Soak both sides of the toast in the batter and place it on the skillet.

6. Flip the toast when it’s golden brown. Then, add some more butter to the skillet.

Dress the French Toast

7. Once both sides are golden brown, place the toast on a plate. Add some more butter on top, drizzle some condensed milk, and sprinkle the puffed quinoa and crushed nuts on top.
